Hi guys,
Whilst in Playa Blanca, the air conditioning of our car stopped working, so we had to travel to the Capital Arrecife to resolve the issue.
On the way back, instead of heading back via the main road, we decided to take the scenic route.
We drove through Tias, Conil, Uga and Yaiza, taking loads of pictures of the genuine rugged terrain and mountains (see our road trip video).
Along the way, we stopped at 4 of Lanzarote’s Bodegas (in Spanish shop/wine cellar) and checked out their products and vineyards.
We visited:
Stratvs ~ The STRATVS Winery is located in Barranco del Obispo (Bishop´s Ravine) at the edge of Timanfaya Natural Park. For more information visit: [ Ссылка ]
La Geria ~ This family winery is among the most visited wineries in Spain as it is located in a unique enclave. From the winery you can appreciate unbeatable views of the vineyards planted in holes and dug in the sand and surrounded by a mantle of volcanic ash. In turn, you can see in the background the volcanoes of Timanfaya National Park. For more information visit: [ Ссылка ]
Rubicon ~ Located in the La Geria Natural Park and framed in centuries-old eucalyptus trees, the winery stands solemnly overlooking the Timanfaya National Park. For more information visit: [ Ссылка ]
Uga ~ The village of Uga in Lanzarote has a vineyard at the foot of Montaña del Chupadero. It is the first village of the wine road that passes through the vineyards of La Geria from Uga to Masdache. From a small hill near the village there is a beautiful view of Uga which appears as a small oasis in a desert of volcanic rocks. For more information visit: [ Ссылка ]
There’s 10 more to explore😵💫
We won’t be able to visit them all on this trip, but maybe in the future.
Happy adventures guys ✌🏻
