In Brass Birmingham you play an English Baron of industry developing your production network and selling goods during the industrial revolution. The game is split in two eras: the canal era to start slowly, and then the railroad era to grow to your full potential.

This game makes me very happy because it’s very much like a puzzle, with such a range of possibilities. The rhythm is great, as each era gets more and more tense as we slowly run out of cards.

It’s gained a solid place in my top 5 games.
