Got this GBS-8220 from a friend who got it in a trade for some arcade parts. I immediately offered him $20 for it, and he was all too happy to get some money for something that he would have otherwise thrown in a spare parts or "mess around with...some day" pile.

All recommended and optional mods have been done to the board, including clock gen mod, and finally the charge pump decoupling mods.

All credit goes to rama for gbs-control development. If you don't know about it, it's an amazing upscaler (rgbs, component, and vga input options; 240p, 480i/p source acceptance; downscaler/15khz scaler* (480i/480p to 240p), fast deinterlacer, low lag solution for low cost of investment/ownership.

*I put the asterisk because I have sent 240p sources to 240p-capable devices using the "Source Pass-Through" profile unsuccessfully, and then use the "15kHz Down-Scale" profile, and the receiving device likes it. Some more rama magic...
