. The MEPI project in Jisr, funded by the United States government and managed by the Tel Aviv University's Legal Clinics, aims at advancing the community by offering free vocational and business courses (mainly for women), as well as workers' rights workshops (mainly for youth). The goal is to educate the people on their rights in the work field, and to teach them how to become independent workers. Participants are taught and encouraged to start a small business of their own and advance towards financial stability.
