In the Cambodian province of Takéo, the water supply company was doing what it could with the technology it had to supply drinking water to the small city of Doun Kaev and the surrounding 45 villages of about 44,000 people.
A Grundfos Demand Driven Distribution (DDD) system changed that. With high-efficiency pumps for water distribution, control panels and pressure sensors, the Grundfos DDD system has saved the Takéo water plant the following in just its first year of operation:
- 20% reduction in energy for pumping
- 29% fewer pipe breakages
- 13% reduction in water loss from leakages.
