Khawsa, also known as Khow Suey, has its roots in Burmese cuisine and was brought to India by the community who migrated from Burma. They adapted this dish to suit local tastes, infusing it with Indian spices and serving it with Gujarati papdi. Over the years, Khawsa has evolved into a beloved street food in Surat, characterized by its thick coconut gravy and a medley of toppings like spring onions, chaat masala, and various chutneys. 1/2 tsp Chopped Garlic
1 tsp paste of Green Chilies, Ginger
1/2 tsp Salt
FOR RED CHUTNEY
5-6 nos. Dry Red Chilies
1 tbsp Peanuts
15 cloves of Garlic
1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
3 tbsp Oil
FOR KHAWSA GARNISHING:
Papdi Puri
Boiled Hakka Noodles
Fried Garlic
Onion Slices
Chopped Spring Onion
Schezwan Chutney
