Starting in Aitbenhaddou, an ancient Unesco-protected village, we drive into the Draa Valley crossing a pass overlooking deep canyons. Passing Agdz, enter an oasis where food is grown and livestock raised. Passing Tamnougalt, we get a great look of the oasis from Timiderte. Stopping in a former French garrison town, Zagora, see what’s for lunch and then head to the desert town of Tamegroute the site of a 16th century Islamic library and tomb of a scholar.
