Private sector economists have again slashed their forecasts for Singapore’s economic growth, following a lacklustre second quarter and the manufacturing sector’s ongoing fragility. Full-year GDP growth is now expected to come in at one per cent, down from the 1.4 per cent forecast in June. This falls within the official forecast of between 0.5 and 1.5 per cent growth.
