Went to Hi's Tackle at 40 Chestnut Ave in South San Francisco. Talked to Jonah and he shows us how to add 100 yards of 30lb mono as backing and to spool existing braided line. We reversed the old line on the reel so the unused portion gets fresh use and the old used portion sits inside the spool. This will double the life of your line and we all know how expensive braided line is!
Tied a modified albright knot to connect the braid and the 30 mono together. Tied a uni knot to connect the mono to the spool. Jonah also give us tips on the benefits of having a fulling spooled reel.
