South Fork is a pretty cool portion of the S.A.R.T. in my opinion. It's a tad cross country, but much more downhill than the Seven Oaks segment. It's fun, it's flowy, it's fast in some sections and it's fairly cliffy. This trail should not be taken lightly...there are some tree roots at handlebar level that can, and have, many times, knocked people clear off the trail and sent them tumbling down the side of the mountain...myself included a few years back. While neither myself, nor my bike, were injured, many others have not been so lucky and have suffered broken bones. There are also some high consequence areas where the trail gets a little skinnier or more loose along the edge and there are some jagged rocks below....be prepared to walk those spots if you're not super comfortable with that. That being said, this is a super fun segment and you really should check it out if you haven't already.
