World’s first Hydrogen powered large L 566 H Wheel Loader showcased by Liebherr at its press conference by expert Hans Knapp and Peter Haddock

This machine represents a huge leap toward a sustainable future without compromising on performance or productivity, and Peter am personally excited about its prospects.

Hans: “Hydrogen as a fuel meets the power needs of larger, more energy intensive machines, while maintaining eco-friendly goals. And our L 566 H X Power Hydrogen machine can handle an entire shift on a single tank

“Refuelling takes around 10–12 minutes, similar to a diesel machine, and we have created an industry partnership with a hydrogen refuelling provider to help with the rollout of the fast refuelling infrastructure needed.”

A compact hydrogen tank on the rear side of the cab holds enough Hydrogen for full shifts, and standard machine maintenance is similar to the popular diesel version.
