In this video i give some general tips and tricks for drilling wood with a Dremel and rotary tool.
When drilling wood with a Dremel we want to use the 631/636 brad point drill bit set or the 628 precision drill bit set. Dremel also has a 628HP drill bit set that you can use for drilling but i have not tried that one yet.
A Dremel is not a good substitute for a cordless drill when it comes to Drilling wood, but it can do some drilling tasks that would be hard to achieve with a cordless Drill.
One drilling task that a Dremel excels at is drilling tiny holes. The smallest holes you can make with a Dremel is 0.8mm or 1/32", which is really tiny.
When drilling tiny holes i like to use the flex shaft 225 or the Stylo 2050.
If you combine one of the bigger Dremel models like the 8250, 8260 and 8220 with the workstation 220 you can drill a lot of small holes really quickly.
