This dash cam records from the camera in the rear view mirror in front of you and also comes with a second camera to record whats behind you. The screen has picture in picture so both cameras can be viewed, the back camera akso doubles as a reverse cam. This camera also records audio but the audio is terrible.

overall for 36 dollars this isn't a bad setup the cameras are clear and the recording is looped so you never run out of space on your sd card.
