The Presonus Eris studio monitors are excellent high-definition, active studio monitors designed for those serious about music (recording and listening). They are available in a 5" (Eris E5) and an 8" (Eris E8) and both models have a 1" silk-dome, high-frequency tweeter. The mid-range cones are made from Kevlar and the internal amplifiers have class AB circuitry (bi amplification). These are ideal for professional studios, home studios, recording studios, or anywhere else that detailed, accurate sound is needed.
