🔴On April 29, the Philippine Navy's Philippine Fleet deployed the frigate BRP Jose Rizal (FF150).
BRP Jose Rizal is the first of two Jose Rizal-class frigates designed by Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea (HHI). Anti-air, anti-surface, anti-submarine, and electronic warfare operations are all part of the frigates' mission.
On July 10, 2020, FF150 was commissioned into the Navy during a ceremony held at Alava Wharf in SBMA, Zambales.
BRP Jose Rizal successfully participated in the multinational maritime exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2020 in August 2020, which was conducted around the Hawaiian islands and included navies from Australia, Brunei, Canada, France, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, and Singapore and United States.
