The Zangke River Bridge is a key control project of the Naqing Expressway. It is located at the junction of four counties (districts) in Guizhou Province, namely Qinglong, Pu'an, Shuicheng and Liuzhi. It spans the Zangke River and is a double-tower, single-span steel truss suspension bridge with a total length of 1,849 meters, a main span of 1,080 meters, a bridge height of 380 meters, a designed speed of 100 kilometers per hour, and is built to the standard of six lanes in both directions. It ranks 12th among the world's top 100 high bridges.

牂牁江大桥是纳晴高速的重点控制性工程,地处贵州晴隆、普安、水城、六枝等4县(区)的交界处,横跨牂牁江,为双塔单跨钢桁梁悬索桥,全长1849米,主跨1080米,桥高380米,设计时速100公里,采用双向六车道标准建设,在世界百座高桥中排名第12位
The load test is the last step before the bridge is opened to traffic, and is known as the "full physical examination" before the bridge is put into service. The load test began on the morning of December 9 and lasted for three days. A fleet of 72 large trucks with a total load of about 2,520 tons were mobilized, mainly including static load test and dynamic load test.
The static load test simulates the working state of the bridge under five load conditions, and the test content covers the maximum deflection and bending moment of the main beam, the maximum deflection of the main cable, the typical hanger increment, the maximum longitudinal displacement of the main beam, the maximum bending moment at the root of the main tower and the maximum longitudinal displacement of the top of the main tower, the maximum tension of the anchor span cable, etc. At the test site, 72 heavy-duty trucks drove onto the bridge deck in batches according to the simulated load conditions and pre-designated stops for graded loading. The sensors arranged in advance at key parts of the bridge carried out real-time monitoring, accurately collected test data, and tested the structural stress performance and actual bearing capacity of the bridge.
In the dynamic load test, dynamic load scenarios are simulated by applying vehicles of different magnitudes and speeds to the bridge while traveling in the same direction synchronously and uniformly. The vibration frequency, amplitude and other data of the bridge structure under the load are monitored in real time. This is used to examine the dynamic response of the bridge under the load and comprehensively evaluate the working performance of the bridge in actual use to ensure that its engineering quality and safety meet the design and specification requirements.
It is understood that in order to obtain more accurate test data, each load test is arranged to be carried out during a period of time when the temperature, humidity and wind speed are relatively stable to reduce test interference factors.
The test results show that the overall stress performance and bearing capacity of the Xiangjiang River Bridge all meet the standards and can be "put into operation on schedule."
The complete success of this load test is not only a comprehensive review of the construction results of the Xiangke River Bridge project, but also provides a key scientific basis for the acceptance and subsequent operation.
