This is the install video for any 2001 to 2010 Duramax. The install is the same for a lb7, lly, lbz, and lmm Duramax. I have posted a video for the 2011 to 2016 LML duramax as well. The ONLY difference being the lml stock oil filter nipple has a 15/16ths socket to remove it.
The install is very very easy and straight forward and does come with instructions. We installed these on every generation duramax that night excluding the 2017 to 2018 l5p.
The kit does come with instructions. We did notice that it took 12 quarts( 3 gallons) of oil to reach full doing a full oil change. So that being said it adds quite a bit of capacity among the greater filtration. There is plenty of clearance for the new filter as well.
