I visited a Samsung customer service center( after sales service center), one of the customer was discussing with the front desk associate that his smart phone got hacked and he lost around 80,000 INR i.e. Approximately 1,000USD, further his discussion was he stopped connecting his Samsung galaxy smart phone in public places like railway station, airport etc...he charges his phone only with his smartphone charger, this video shows how you can stop your smartphone( Samsung, other phones if they have this function) from getting hacked and block suspicious chargers and images with malware.
