Here is my drum cover of Rush - Tom Sawyer. The very first rush song I ever heard. 15 year old me received the cd moving pictures from my brother, who knew that I was interested in drumming and progressing my style, and assumed that showing Rush and Neil Peart would be definitely benefit me and direction as a young drummer.

He was not wrong. Listening to rush’s music at a young age gave me the drive to dive deeper into progressive rock drumming, learn a lot of Rush songs, and also start exploring other prog rock bands from the 70s and 80s.

I still remember how intrigued and a feeling of awe I was in listening to the very first minute of Tom Sawyer for the first time. The production, Neil Pearts style. I knew immediately that this type of music was for me. I will forever be grateful of the inspiration! 🙏🥁
