The Ministry of Health and Welfare on Monday launched a fresh campaign to boost COVID vaccine coverage in Taiwan. It’s targeting three groups in particular: unvaccinated people, people who are not fully vaccinated, and people aged 6 and up who have not received a Moderna BA.4/5 shot since Jan. 1.
The campaign overlaps with several others launched by local governments, which offer incentives for certain demographics. In Taipei, people aged 50 and up can get a NT$500 voucher for getting a shot. In New Taipei, Taoyuan, Tainan, and Kaohsiung it’s available to people aged 65 and up.
