Modatta is a marketplace for consented private data empowered solutions, that will allow companies to pay users directly for their data or for profile targeted interactions, like showing a text or video, directing to an url or answering direct questions. We aim to provide our users an additional revenue stream, while giving companies an alternative to reach their audience that is fully compliant with privacy regulations like GDPR.
Modatta aims to bring individuals control over their personal data. We want to empower them to monetize their data, while maintaining full control on how, where and why their data is used and by which companies.
On the other hand, private data management represents a major risk for companies, so providing them with explicitly and freely consented data would almost eliminate the risk of non-compliancy, while reducing the customer cost of acquisition.
Modatta will be available as a mobile app for individuals, and a web portal or DB API for companies. We will rely on a blockchain for smart contract enforcement and register auditable transaction logs, without ever compromising the security and confidentiality of the user’s data.
