Today we will be reviewing part number TDR2500CA. This is the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System. To see if this is going to fit your particular year making model, you can refer to the vehicle list at the bottom of the product page. This system is designed to improve suspension, handling unsafety,it's going to provide additional support as needed so you always have a nice smooth comfortable ride. It actually allows the loose springs plenty of movement while cushioning light loads and it will not affect the empty ride of the vehicle. This system is designed to become more rigid as more weight is added so it's going to increase stability which is going to provide better performance while hauling heavier loads. It's also designed to help reduce vehicle sag.
It is designed to work independently side to side so it's going to help compensate for all center loads and it's going to reduce the body roll when swerving and turning corners. The rear suspension enhancement system is designed to act as shock absorbers, taking the impact of bumps and rough roads which ultimately is going to extend the life of your vehicle suspension system. It's going to include the two hollow rubber springs, the vehicle's specific brackets and all the hardware needed for simple installation. You are going to get two rubber spacers to achieve desired ride height so you may or may not use them. If you do use them you would use the longer bolts for your installation. If you are not using them you would just stay with the shorter bolts there and use those for your install.
Now when you lower your suspension back to the original ride height after one of these is installed you want to check and see how much clearance you have between the spring and the axle. If you have more than about one inch, then you may want to go and use the rubber spacer and the longer bolts. If you have less than one inch then you should be fine with just the springs, the brackets and the shorter bolts. Now you'll see two slots on each bracket, this is going to secure the bracket to the frame of the vehicle and you'll use your original fact or your hardware to secure the brackets and the frame for your installation. It is designed to replace the axle bump stops on the frame so you will need to remove the original ones. No drilling is required, they are going to offer a capacity of 6000 pounds.
You just need to be careful not to exceed the vehicle's weight carrying capacity and this system is designed to work with a suspension system that's in good working order. It's a really simple installation, one of the brackets is going to have the indicator on that shows that it's for the right side of the vehicle and it has an arrow for which way it's supposed to be facing so it says left and front on it so that would go on this one right here. It's going to assemble just like that and the bracket is going to attach to the frame of the vehicle and then if you are going to use the rubber spacer it's going to go on just like so, slide up all the holes and you would install it the same way. On the inside of the hollow spring is going to be a flat washer so you can see that in there and when you install the bolts you want to make sure that your bolt runs through that flat washer. You can use a socket with an extender on it, you're going to push the bolts up through this hole and then it's going to thread though the threads here on the bracket and be fully set to be assembled and installed onto the vehicle. Again, if you are using the spacers, you want to use the longer bolts. If you are not using the spacers then just stick with the shorter bolts and you should be all set to go. The spring is going to give us an overall length of about five inches.
That's going to do it for today's review of part number TDR2500CA. This is the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System. .
