Last September we made a lovely relaxing day trip to the coastal seaside town of Aberystwyth in Mid Wales on a warm early autumn day. We enjoyed exploring the mile long Victorian promenade, the beach looking out to Cardigan Bay and neighbouring shops and cafes. We had a delicious meal at Ultracomida, a Spanish-Welsh deli just a few short steps away from the oldest pier in Wales, and then spent many a while just watching the world go by.
We also wandered along the prom towards the base of Constitution Hill and saw the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway transporting visitors up to the Camera Obscura.
Traditional folk music session
We love combining visits and walks around beautiful Wales with tunes from live traditional music sessions. Two great traditional tunes are here being played at the annual Dôl-Llys Hall garden party by musicians from two local ceilidh bands, Sir Dancelot and Ffonic. The garden party took place near Llanidloes in Mid Wales on Saturday 6 August 2022.
Tunes
