This webinar took place January 27, 2017. There are roughly 18 million family caregivers of older adults in the United States, who provide the majority of long-term care services and supports to their loved ones. The varied and increasingly complex roles of family caregivers – and the implications for social, health and economic realities of the families in question – have brought family caregiving to the forefront of public policy. This webinar discussed a recent National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine report, Caring Across America; promising approaches; and some ways in which we all can play a role in the solution. Presenters: Donna Benton, PhD, Director, University of Southern California Family Caregiver Support Center; and Rani Snyder, MPA, Program Director, The John A. Hartford Foundation. Moderator: John Feather, PhD, Chief Executive Officer, Grantmakers In Aging. Co-Sponsored by Archstone Foundation, Grantmakers In Health, and The John A. Hartford Foundation.
