Ok, you may be wondering why the team is mostly item-less. It was a mix-up with Copying Storage to PBR. I forgot to save after I did it the first time, which meant when I re-entered the game, the team went back to it's previous state (i.e. itemless)
The problem is I didn't actually realise the items were gone until after one or two battles. Damn! Thankfully the only one that was really missed was Leftovers on Bastiodon.
Anyway, I decided to pick Courtyard Colosseum for these two matches since you don't see it often and... I couldn't pass up using Bastiodon on a Bastiodon-themed arena. Of course, there IS a good reason why people don't pick this stage...
But this is the first time I've actually encountered it. I must say, the fog was sort of on my side early on, allowing me to get a Curse up. I got pissed off when Swampert's second Earthquake missed though, I was pretty much yelling: "I want you to hit me!" (that scene from The Dark Knight comes to mind here)
I wonder why people always try to Earthquake Bastiodon, even after I've revealed Metal Burst. I guess they're just not familiar with how resiliant it really is.
The rest of the match was pretty good, actually. Props to Nidoking for taking down Celebi! (granted, it finished itself off but still) I'm actually surprised at what this guy can outrun. Zapdos and Celebi were probably running more bulky EV spreads.
I must say I am glad my opponent wiped out the fog with rain later on, I get the feeling my classic bad luck with Evasion would've kicked in later on.
