Aquarium lighting, what's the best? Sure, there are $300+ units out there that let you create a thunder storm or sunset/sunrise with a phone app and even make you the perfect cup of coffee. That's not the unit I'm going to be talking about.
Let's compare some affordable lighting systems that really make our fish pop! And, as a bonus, let's take a look at some lighting technology that was borrowed from the motion picture industry. It could provide a high quality full-spectrum light at a very low price point.
