LIVE DAY 1 OF 3 - Birds and Botanicals Painting Workshop - Suzanne Barrett Justis

If you can't join me in person, please join me for the Live Stream of my 3 day wildlife painting workshop, Birds and Botanicals. Join me, Suzanne Barrett Justis, International Master Wildlife Artist for this 3 day Wildlife Painting Workshop We will paint 2 bird species with a corresponding botanical. Here you get to "stretch your wings" and practice painting birds as well as beautiful flowers!! You will learn my painting techniques as well as learning my secrets to painting realistic animals. You will learn how to manipulate negative space to create form. I will cover basic composition, how to create depth in your work by using proper value and temperature of your paints, how to mix oil colors, use complimentary colors, and brush technique and so much more.

One of the perks of my workshop is I always give my two painting demos away on the last day.....so two lucky folks attending will get to go home with one of my original works! Be sure to watch till the end on day 3.

one of the brush I used for the most was a Synthetic Shiraz pointed round or rigger, as well as two filberts, the number 5 and 8, I will also leave you the link to the brush here. It is a very versatile brush, and you can see that if was able to do everything I asked of it in this painting tutorial

The little miniature short handled brushes I used to do the fine FINE details was the Workbench Warrior Set from Rosemary and Co. Check them out!!! I love these brushes.

I also used several of the Eclipse long Filberts of various sizes, you can find them here

and Ivory long filberts, my " work horse brush" I love them.

and you know how I love my Ivory Daggers for creating long flowing lines, like in hair and tall grasses and in tree branches etc...here is the link

I often use the Creative Mark Wipe Out Tool....I love these things. Here's the link so you can get one ( or 10 ) of them too.
