The Martin Jennings Run is an annual Charity Motorcycle run held in Cornwall and attracting well over 1,000 riders, in some years more. It commemorates the death of Martin Jennings who was killed in the 1987 TT and is organised by David Saunby who began the run in 1988. It has been held almost every year since, taking a nearly circular route through the county. The run begins in Truro, heads east and there is a lunch stop at Cornwall Victoria services, followed by a halt at Beacon square for a short commemorative service then ends in Falmouth Recreation Ground. It is a well-run, well-marshalled event in aid of Blood Bikes and there is little to no poor behaviour by the bikers. Many local folk turn out to watch the event and most drivers are happy to put up with the odd delay. I was unable to take part directly this year due to illness, but we were lucky to be driving the other way and I had my DJI pocket 2 video camera with me so managed to catch the run mid-way through. If you see yourself, or others you know, comment and hopefully it will stir a few memories.
