MachineMax is an integral part of Murphy's 75 million Digital Transformation Journey, aiming to reduce emissions by 50% over the next five years.
Murphy has partnered with MachineMax to consolidate the entire fleet’s data into a single platform, providing them with visibility and giving their customers the tools to use machine data to make informed decisions which will drive sustainability, efficiency, and productivity.
With this video, we first talk to Brendan Sugrue, Operations Director at Murphy Plant, who outlines the key reasons why implementing MachineMax is critical to giving site teams and plant hire customers visibility into their machines. In addition, he outlines what we hope to accomplish together as the partnership progresses.
We further spoke with Sumbul Aman, Environmental and Sustainability Advisor at Murphy then discusses the importance of MachineMax from an environmental perspective with an emphasis on measuring fuel consumption and carbon emissions. She reported that throughout their work on HS2 Euston, they were able to reduce carbon emissions by 10% by implementing changes brought from the data insights provided by the MachineMax platform.
Finally, we spoke with Martin Chivers, Works Superintendent at Murphy working at HS2 Acton. He details the importance of measuring the receiving machine data in real-time on-site and delivering that information to the team via tool-box talks, whilst also discussing the challenges of switching from red diesel to HVO.
The partnership is already paying dividends and It demonstrates Murphy’s commitment to protecting the environment by working with their customers to provide the relevant data to minimise on-site emissions.
