Children who were caught up in the escape from the Grenfell Tower blaze in Kensington this week have been expressing and processing their reactions to the event through art. Children as young as two have painted heartbreaking images of the blaze, even depicting people waving flags from the top of the building as they waited for rescue. Volunteers are helping to run sessions around Kensington to help children understand what happened and react to the trauma. One of those was Osmand Shendi, two, whose work is shown left. He is pictured with his father, Yusri, inset. Another is Yohana Yohannes, aged six, who escaped the fire with her parents and younger sister when her aunt called to tell them the flames were engulfing the building. Her work is shown right. Inset, a love your city message is left on a graffiti piece near the Kindred centre.
