The World Health Organisation has told Sky News the Turkey-Syria earthquake will have a huge long-term impact on people's health.
The organisation has described the earthquakes as a "crisis on top of a crisis", warning as many as 23 million people in the areas could be affected.
WHO spokesperson, Dr Margaret Harris, said alongside the immediate health issues, essential medicines needed to be brought in for those with existing health conditions and that services to help with severe trauma needed to be provided as soon as possible.
She also warned of an increase in respiratory and waterborne infections.
