The Lagos state government has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy for domestic and sexual violence, vowing to bring every perpetrator to justice.
Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (LDSVA), made this statement during a sensitization walk and discussion on gender-based violence held at the Palace of Oba Elegushi.
The event, themed "16 Days of Activism: Traditional Rulers Stand Against Gender-Based Violence," aimed to deepen the agency's relationship and partnership with monarchs, who play a crucial role in addressing this societal issue.
Adeniyi explained that the LDSVA decided to take the gender-based violence sensitization campaign to the domain of traditional rulers, recognizing their important position in society and their potential to play a significant role in combating this scourge.
