This film depicts a chapter of late Ming Dynasty history. At the time, Wei Zhongxian, an immensely powerful eunuch, held sway over the imperial court, while the emperor secretly plotted to eliminate this influential figure. In this critical moment, the daughter of Censor Hong, who was set to enter the palace as a consort, suddenly and mysteriously died. To uncover the truth behind her death, the Chief Commander of the Six Doors intelligence agency, Xiang Shi, assigned elite agents Ye Fei and Yun Ling to investigate, pitting them in a battle of wit and courage against Wei Zhongxian.
Wei Zhongxian, however, was no easy opponent. He set numerous traps, aiming to eradicate the Six Doors organization. The agency suffered heavy losses, with many of its members injured or killed. But Ye Fei and Yun Ling refused to give up; through their intelligence and bravery, they launched a fierce counterattack. In the end, they joined forces with the emperor, successfully removing Wei Zhongxian and eliminating this major threat to the court.
