Torrential rain is bringing flooding to parts of the Illawarra, Sydney and Hunter regions.
Hundreds of millimetres of rain has already fallen, with more expected over the coming days.
Major flooding is currently occurring along the Hawkesbury River in North Richmond and in Menangle, with moderate flooding along the Nepean River in Camden.
SES members are assisting residents whose homes are affected by rising floodwaters.
A severe weather warning has been issued for damaging winds and further heavy rain.
