This year marks the 50th anniversary of International Literacy Day and UNESCO is celebrating it under the banner “Reading the Past, Writing the Future”..September 8th is International Literacy Day, and at Delhi Public School Dhuri, we understand the importance of literacy and the impact it has on a child’s future. Currently almost 800 million people around the world lack basic reading and writing skills. To show the importance of literacy we celebrated International Literacy Day with full enthusiasm. Students donated books for their classroom libraries. Students from grade VII & VIII organized a workshop for all Drivers, Conductors, Sweepers and Maids of the school. Principal Nisha S Kulkarni inspired and thanked the students for their admirable efforts.
