These Spinach Canapés are the perfect holiday appetizer! Easy to make and packed with flavor, your guests won’t be able to get enough!
Ingredients
• Canapes – 12 – 14 nos
• Spinach – 250 grams
• Garlic – 6 – 7 cloves
• Butter – 2 tablespoons
• Oil – 2 tablespoons
• All purpose flour – 2 tablespoons
• Milk – 6 tablespoons
• Salt – to taste
• Pepper powder – ½ teaspoon
• Italian Seasoning – 1 teaspoon
Method
• Finely dice the garlic.
• In a pan, add the oil and fry the garlic till it is nice and golden.
• Chop the spinach fine and then fry it alongwith the garlic.
• Once the spinach has cooked, removed it from the pan.
• In the same pan, add the butter and the all purpose flour. Make a white sauce roux.
• Add the salt, pepper powder and Italian seasoning and fry for a minute.
• Add the milk and let it thicken. (Do not have a runny consistency as the canapes will get soggy)
• Once it cooked well, add the spinach and mix well.
• Stuff them in canapes and serve them hot.
