17th of October 2016 marks the 26th anniversary of the Independent Aviation Platoon Sinj and Split. Sinj and Split are the first Croatian Air Force units, who were at the time under the 4th Guards Brigade, later in the Homeland War its members were part of the modern Croatian Air Force and Air Defence.

This year's anniversary featured more than the Mi-8 parachute jump, it featured a surprise visit from the famous MiG-21 165 a.k.a. "Kockica" (Little Cube) a sight not seen or heard for 20 years above Sinj. Also let's not forget the aerobatic display of Pilatus PC-9M
