David Julius delivered his Nobel Prize lecture "From peppers to peppermints: insights into thermosensation and pain" on Tuesday 7 December 2021. He was introduced by Professor Abdel El Manira.

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2021 was awarded jointly to David Julius and Ardem Patapoutian "for their discoveries of receptors for temperature and touch."
