Data from the US Federal Reserve shows President Donald Trump may have found an unlikely ally at the election – lower income earners.
The Survey of Consumer Finances revealed in the three years to 2019, the wealth gap between America's richest and poorest got smaller.
“Families near the bottom of the income and wealth distributions generally continues to experience substantial gains,” the survey said.
The survey also revealed black and Hispanic families experienced faster wealth growth over the last six years compared to white families.
