When you say Devdas, you probably think of Anurag Kashyap’s 2009 version or Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2002 version with Shah Rukh Khan. But Bimal Roy's 1955 version starring Dilip Kumar we think is the finest rendering of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s 1917 novel.
