Sky News contributor Prue MacSween says the divided Morrison government is handing Anthony Albanese “the Lodge keys on a platter”.
It comes after Liberal MP Bridget Archer broke ranks to back the push to establish a federal anti-corruption commission only days after five Coalition senators voted against the government over vaccine mandates.
“The disunity is unbelievable, the fact that they are sabotaging the government when it’s really got its back to the wall and just handing Albanese the Lodge keys on a platter,” Ms MacSween told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“For goodness sake, do your fighting behind closed doors but don’t you realise this government is in huge trouble.”
“The main constituents, the conservative constituents, feel betrayed, and they’re looking at this lot and saying: my god, you don’t deserve to be in power.”
