A tragic accident occurred near Nelamangala, Bengaluru, on Saturday, December 21, 2024, resulting in the de**hs of six family members, including two children. 
The incident took place around 11:00 AM on National Highway 4 near T Begur. A container truck, traveling parallel to the family’s SUV—a recently purchased Volvo XC90 B5 Mild Hybrid Ultra—collided with a Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) truck carrying Nandini dairy products. The impact caused both trucks to topple, with the container truck crushing the SUV. 
The victims, hailing from Vijayapura, were identified as:
• Chandram Yogappa (48)
• Gaura Bai (42)
• Vijayalakshmi (36)
• Gan (16)
• Deeksha (12)
• Arya (6)

Local residents and commuters promptly responded, extracting the victims from the SUV and transporting them to a nearby hospital, where they were declared deceased upon arrival. The accident led to a traffic jam extending approximately 3 kilometers on National Highway 4. Authorities utilized three cranes to clear the vehicles and restore normal traffic flow. 
The bodies are currently held at the mortuary of Nelamangala Government Hospital. An investigation into the exact cause of the accident is ongoing.
