This was the last recording by the Marketts for Warner Bros Records. The Marketts were formed in 1961 when Gordon wrote their first hit song, "Surfer's Stomp and they were then signed to Liberty Records.

The Marketts left Liberty a year later and signed with Warner Bros. Record. The Marketts recorded another Gordon composition, "Out Of Limits" which turned out to be their biggest hit song selling over a million copies. During their six year tour, the Marketts had five songs in the top 20 national Charts. Batman was their last big hit and after the group split apart. Gordon won two BMI Awards for his songs, "Apologize" and "Out Of Limits".
