Chinese people have held a wide variety of events and kept their age-old traditions alive to welcome the fast-approaching Lantern Festival, with eye-catching folk performances, light shows and serving traditional dishes and snacks underway across China.
Tuesday marks this year's Lantern Festival, a 2,000-year-plus traditional festival falling on the 15th day of the first month on the Chinese lunar calendar, which draws to conclusion the Spring Festival celebrations.
