We ventured deep into the jungle of Sabah in search of the legendary black bass, also known locally as KANAI. This fish can only be found in this part of Sabah in the whole of Malaysia. Abroad they can be found in Papua New Guinea and parts of Indonesia. Famous for being the strongest fighting fish in the river, this is a species that every angler dreams of catching. We had the luck to have a face to face battle with this powerful fish! Even though we only landed a juvenile, it still let out a good fight. Will definitely be back for more!
