This year, on Giving Tuesday, we will be raising money for our “Go Bags”, an important and essentail resource we give our caregivers so they will be prepared when they are on-the-go with their medically fragile child.
Blythedale's Parent & Caregiver Training Program offers tailored education and training so families can feel comfortable taking their child home. No family ever thinks they will be in the position of caring for a child with complex medical needs. It can be a scary and overwhelming process that requires so many resources, big and small. The "Go Bag" is one of our tools to help instill confidence in our caregivers. Upon admission, an empty "Go Bag" is provided to each family. During their child's admission, the caregiver will learn about the essential equipment they need to have on hand and will work together with our clinical staff to populate the bag with the necessary items, based on the unique medical needs of their child.
With a gift of $25, you can provide one bag per patient family. We have set a goal to raise enough money to purchase 500 bags on Giving Tuesday. Will you help us reach our goal?
