“It’s important for us to achieve our goals. They can be achieved by various means, but, regrettably, political and diplomatic means are inaccessible at (the) present moment, first of all, probably due to the refusal of such a possibility by the Kyiv regime, as well as the pronounced disinclination to such a process on the part of Washington, first of all, which, of course, has a direct influence and directly manages the Kyiv regime.”

STORYLINE:
A spokesperson for Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that his country's government isn't "seeing any prospects" of negotiating with Ukraine "for now."
In a conference call with journalists, Dmitry Peskov insisted that Russia "has never shut the door to the negotiation process" amid the Kremlin's 'special military operation' in Ukraine.
But Peskov said the Kremlin believed "political and diplomatic means are inaccessible at the present moment."
He blamed the "refusal of such a possibility by the Kyiv regime, as well as the pronounced disinclination to such a process on the part of Washington."
Commenting on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's planned meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan later on Friday, Peskov said that Russia would "closely follow the results of those talks.”
