Hi Guys and Gals.
A couple of months ago I did a video featuring the Highway 21 Radiant Heated Gloves. In that video I gave all the features and how to work them. Now that Spring is upon us, I will be putting these gloves away until next Fall so I thought I'd give you a quick summary of their performance.
I wore these gloves all winter. I rode the motorcycle mostly but also used them to shovel snow and during other outdoor activities such as hiking and outdoor maintenance of my property.
They performed exceptionally well in all categories mentioned. Two things I discovered were that, on occasion, once I had set the heat level they would turn off by themselves. My hand would get cold, I'd look down and the lights (which indicate the heating level) would be off. This happened only a handful of times if that but I thought I'd mention it. Secondly, during weather that was 25 degrees or colder my fingertips would get cold. Now I have a habit of keeping my index and middle fingers on the clutch and brake. I like to be prepared just in case something happens. Just my style of riding. So, perhaps, having my fingers extended out may have caused the cold to reach them. That could be possible. However, gloves liners seemed to have remedied that issue. All in all, these are fine gloves. With all the contact they've had with the handlebars, shovel handles, scrapers, trees and tree limbs, snow, ice, etc...they still look like they did when I opened the box. I'm taking this as an indicator of their quality and longevity. I'm thinking I'm going to have many seasons with these gloves and they'll perform well during that time.
So if you ride during the colder periods of the year, OR if you just need gloves for other reasons during that time, I would suggest you look into the Highway 21 Radiant Heated Gloves (retail at $209 USD). Check out their site.
