How to practice safe sun at the beach:
- wear at least SPF 50
- reapply every 2 hours
- use a golf ball or shot glass amount (1 ounce) for the body for average adult
- use a teaspoon or 2-3 finger lengths worth for the face
- avoid sun between 10am-2pm if you can
- also wear hat, sunglasses, and sun protective clothing
- seek shade

How to heal a sunburn
- apply moisturizer and aloe to soothe and keep the skin barrier intact
- you can use ice to soothe as well
- take NSAIDs (like ibuprofen) if you are in severe pain
- if you have blisters, you can pop them, but DO NOT peel the skin off
