Michelle Pellegrino popped into her local Wendy's Milk Bar in Midland Gate, Western Australia, to grab a beverage, she was shocked when she spotted a giant rat causally standing in clear view behind the counter, in clear view of the customers.

Michelle said: "I saw an employee stop in her track and get the attention of another staff member.

"The young girls were both grossed out and then carried on with their orders as customers were waiting."

A representative of Wendy's Milk Bar said: “We take this matter very seriously. Our stores have impeccable food safety records and procedures in place. This isolated incident was distressing for all and our staff were very frightened. They should have dealt with their fear and management of this issue differently.
